Today's reading: II Chronicles 18, 19, 20; Psalm 11, 41, 71, 101, 131; Proverbs 11

II Chronicles 18:6-7, "But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we might enquire of him? And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he never prophesied good unto me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so."

The prophet was God's representative to God's chosen people. Jehoshaphat did not like the prophet because he seemingly gave him bad news. This sound like the attitude of the people of today toward Pastors, Evangelists and Christians in general. Some people even hold this attitude about the Word of God.

Today if we need to "enquire of the LORD" we just pick up the Word of God. We have the Holy Spirit living within us as Christians and He guides us into all truth.

We need a revival of:

I. Listening to the Word of God
II. Learning the Word of God
III. Loving the Word of God
IV. Living the Word of God

What is your attitude toward the Word of God? Do you despise it because it always speaks to you of your sin?

I hope you will listen to, learn from, love and live the Word of God each day. So, how are you doing?
