Today's reading: II Chronicles 33, 34, 35; Psalm 16, 46, 76, 106, 136; Proverbs 16
II Chronicles 33:12-13, "And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God."
I received an e-mail earlier that told about the possibility of a muslim mosque being built at the site of ground zero in New York. This is a slap in the face to the (343) three hundred forty three firefighters, paramedics and police officers that gave their lives that day. Not to mention all the civilian casualties. That day is September 11, 2001. This is the day that muslim extremists took over two airliners and forced them to be flow into the world trade center towers in New York and another one was ran into the ground in Pennsylvania where passengers overtook the muslin extremist pilots. This is where Scott Beemer said, "Let's roll!" and made this a very popular saying.
The thought of having this abomination built on ground zero made me sick and it should you also. We need to wake up here in America because if we don't our freedoms are going to be gone and we will be bowing to Alli-BooBoo.
Maybe, this is what America needs to bring her back to a place that she will seek God. I don't want to think like that; but, let's just think for a minute. In the New Testament the Church flourished when she was persecuted. If we don't wake up and turn back to God we are in for a rude awakening and soon.
We need to be like king Josiah in II Chronicles 34:19, "And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the law, that he rent his clothes." King Josiah had the proper response here in this passage of Scripture. This should serve as a guide for you and I in how we need to get right with God. I pray that we all do before it is eternally too late.
So, how are you doing?
